Vaani has worked in the corporate for a number of years after which she pursued research in Psychology from USA. She is a published author in renowned international academic journals. Claytherapy is an endeavor to combine Vaani’s professional training as a psychologist with her passion in clay. Clay is a versatile medium which can be effectively used for art as well as therapy! Over-valuing effort can be stress generating. ‘Effort’ which is inversely proportional to ‘contentment’ and ‘happiness’ inflicts a devastating effect on our physical and mental wellbeing. As a corollary, self-worth should not be singularly gauged by productivity or material success. The outcome of the cost-benefit analysis of living such a life is known to all of us. This simple tenet drove me to where I am today … playfully engaged with ‘clay’ , producing joyful artworks, teaching pottery to young, children and old, and above all placing a divine smile on all who visit my studio !!!
